Beautiful, soothing, and luxurious feeling—the Lavender London Fog Latte is a cozy recipe that’s both easy to make and fall in love with.
Starting with one of the most recognized flavors of tea in the world, Earl Grey is at the base of this flavorful beverage. The natural bergamot orange tones in Earl Grey pair perfectly with the other wholesome ingredients in this lightly sweet, slightly creamy latte creation.
Lavender London Fog Latte Recipe
It’s time to steep some tea! Whether you choose loose leaf, tea bags, or tea sachets, grab your Earl Grey and let’s whip up one of the best tea lattes you’ve ever tasted. We chose organic loose leaf tea and added a pinch of dried lavender.
Be sure to take a whiff of those almost intoxicating aromas! It’s both calming and invigorating at the same time. This clean ingredient London Fog Tea Latte leaves out all the preservatives, processed sugar, and “natural flavors” popular cafes pour into their concoctions. It’s the Clean Food Power version and tastes even better!
Ingredients:
1 Heaping Teaspoon Loose Leaf Earl Grey Tea
Pinch of Dried Lavender Buds
1-1½ Cups Water (for steeping tea)
1 Tablespoon Organic Honey (or agave syrup)
¼ Teaspoon Pure Vanilla Extract
½ Cup Organic Milk (or non-dairy plant based milk alternative)
Directions:
- Boil water. While waiting on the water to boil, combine your loose leaf Earl Grey tea and dried lavender in a tea strainer. Set the strainer in your favorite latte mug. Once the water is hot, carefully pour water into your mug over the tea strainer. Steep for about 10 minutes (depending on your desired tea strength).
- While the tea steeps, heat milk on the stove until steaming and warm. Stir in honey and vanilla extract.
- Grab a medium to large bowl and combine the sweetened warm milk and steeped tea together. Using a frothing wand or immersion blender, froth the creamy tea mixture until a thick foam forms.
- Pour that frothy latte goodness back into your favorite mug, spooning out every bit of the froth for high peaks of foamy delightfulness.
- If desired, garnish with a sprinkle of lavender buds for even more floral aroma and tea lover approved aesthetic. Speaking of aesthetics, we also paired up this beautiful tea in one of our farmhouse style mugs with some of our many colorful cotton napkins for this photoshoot.
Look at that—isn’t it gorgeous?! Time to sip and enjoy…if you get a latte mustache, we totally understand. 😉 It’s been known to happen.
This delightful Earl Grey latte recipe can be customized of course to match your healthy eating (or should we say drinking) lifestyle. We appreciate the caffeinated pick-me-up from typical Earl Grey, but if you want to enjoy this lavender latte before bed, choose a caffeine free Earl Grey to steep instead.
Vegan latte? Absolutely! Oat milk and bambara groundnut milk are great choices for best frothability in a dairy free option. As mentioned, honey can also be substituted with agave syrup if you prefer.
Earl Grey’s antioxidants offer healthy benefits even though this easy London style latte feels indulgent. It’s a little bit floral, rich, and satisfying. Whether you’re thawing out from winter and looking to warm up with a drink that’s perfect for springtime sips or looking to cool off this summer with an Iced London Fog Tea Latte version, this incredibly aromatic, sensory pleasing tea is a beautiful masterpiece!
